Our Mission:
Our Mission is to ensure that Internationally Trained Physicians are integrated effectively and equitably into the Canadian health care system.
Our Objectives:
- Support the process to cooperatively improve employment opportunities for all IMGs.
- Share responsibility as active Nova Scotians to build healthy communities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and the public to identify and develop appropriate assessment, orientation, upgrading and integration programs for IMGs.
-Assist IMGs in their licensing journey through sharing experiences, study groups, providing timely information and updates in relation to licensing and meaningful employment in the health care field.
Principles:
- Access to opportunities for short term training and post graduate positions in a bridging program capacity.
- Affordable fees for assessments and document processing.
Support financially.
- Equitable chances to demonstrate medical skills and experience.
- Quality assessment and resources.
- Representation at dialogues and in the planning process.
